How you hook up the CB in this truck? I r confuz
NotTheAverageTrucker Thanks this. -
Should be hookups in the overhead bin. Mine even had the 12v plug already wired in. There should also be a bs velcro strap to keep it from bouncing around
Managed to relay in Taylor, but not even Maria could save me. Traded a load with 3 days & 300 miles remaining for one with 2 days & 200 miles. My patience is beginning to wear thin -- freight should have picked up weeks ago... Didn't even get 10,000 miles in March & I had to escalate to Ops supervisor to get paid layover on my last load despite sitting 64 hours straight because the computer kept denying it. -
I just got a green and white wire... Lol
-
What about coax?
-
Yeah thats normal (&why I was surprised mine was prewired). You just need to wire in a cb power connector pigtail. It should have come with your radio, but you can get one at any truck stop: http://www.walcottcb.com/rpps227-power-cord-most-common-p-58.html
green = power (unlike household wiring) -
I got the 3 pin power on my cb already. The red and black wires. Should I electrical tape it to it or how do I go about doing it? I'm used to the red and black screw hook ups.
-
Green to Red. White to black. You can just twist the wires & wrap in electrical tape, or use wire nuts, or butt connectors, or twist & solder & heat shrink, etc (that list is roughly in the order of increasing durability).
EtaN Thanks this. -
10/4 that's what I thought how to do it. I just wasn't 100% sure. Didn't wanna do anything stupid. Now my CB is peaked to 80 Watts can Prostar handle it?
