    Thank goodness for Mexican manpower.

Another truck rolled up and 10 guys popped out of an extended cab pickup.
Took em 40 minutes to unload 850 peices one by one by hand.
Can't beat Amish framing Mexican drywall abilities!

14hr clock down to the last few minutes roads clear east of Denver. Del taco bound Firestone per lunch rush. Its been far too long...

Get back on the truck only to find a preplan picking up at 21:30 tonight delivering Asap 575 miles away. Thanks for that heads up guys! I mean do they not even think that we are humans? What if they walked into work at 0730, and their shift manager said, "nah, I know you slept all night, but just wait around here until 9pm and then I'm going to need you to work all night" that's basically what's happening, except my life is in my hands if I fall asleep.

Bottom line is you're the lord and commander of your unit. Do what you can, if it isn't safe (say you are getting sleepy) inform your fm or the night guys. Send a message on the Quallcom and call. Include the phrase (not safe) and they will either relay it off you or give you some wiggle time. So long as you say it isn't safe they are under an entirely different set of rules when it comes to handling the load. If they want you to push on shutdown and call safety. As much as I don't want to be the jerk and say it, its just part of the gig.

Oh yeah, I also picked up an empty before coming home, they said no, bobtail home. Now I need an empty before picking up next load, what the heck?

I'm not so mad at the situation, its how the "professionals" in the office handle it. It isn't so hard to see that I'm on home time and a courtesy call yesterday would have been really helpful. If I was out on the road before this load I wouldn't have even said anything here, ya know? It just bugs me so I gotta vent to guys and gals who know what its like.

The biggest problem is how many hands our day to day life slides through. We have a fleet manager who is basically a babysitter. A planner who is a spider tugging all the strings. And the csr who is interfacing with the customer. So we have 5 people involved in a process that is basically get from A to B. They complicate it to the point that it will never work right.

Right now I have a TSC load from Waco 240 miles away. It picks up at 1800 cst and delivers at 0700 cst tomorrow. Well that is fine except TSC won't unload until 0800. Which puts my clock on a straight 14 minus 20 for pti and fuel. I'll be out of time. If all the planets line up and I get out of waco quickly and find a spot to shutdown for 8 hours I can do my 8/10 split and get about 7 hours back. But they probably won't get me a load within that window. So I have nearly 20 hours of downtime for 240 miles worth of load. And if Waco TSC takes a while (almost always does) I'll be dead out of time by the time I deliver.

Combine your fuel and pti into one edit.
    10 min is good enough.

You may need those 10 minutes.
3 minutes for drphk (do these exist anymore?)

Gonna call the FM tom about doing those ppls jobs tom... with their supervisor on the line aka "retention department".
Tired of doing their jobs and them not answering qc. + They owe me money per policy.

    Ts full in Hardin mt
Little sketchy at the Wyoming mt border hydroplaning abit.
Bout 20 degrees warmer up here though.

I'm outside the tsc now. I have about 9.25 hours till they actually will start to unload me. Going to grab my 10. Sent dispatch a msg that I'd be ready to roll with 11 after unload and I hope they get me on wheels

What's the address? Think I know where it is but not really.

Can tell ya if its the gay neighborhood or if you are gonna get stabbed by teenagers etc...

Tsc sucks but you could be up in this right now.
If I was heavier chains would have to been thrown.
