2850, 1540, 3182. Mileage the last 3 weeks. One of those good multiple load weeks that kept me running. I don't know if we have alot of freight in the dreaded northeast or I lucked into a sharp planner. The only region I consistantly get preplans. Kearney, Ne. to Fond Du Loc, Wi to Milwaukee, Wi to Irwin, Pa to Austinburg, Oh to Chicopee, Ma to North Brookfield, Ma to Hazleton, Pa to McElhattan, Pa to Gainesville, Ga.

    Yeah, what he said.
Better yet, maybe you can show him or her how to do it better.
But EDUCATION is right, all you have to ask your fleet manager, they can get you set up to sit with a planner.
If going to do it, its best to be there from the start of they day, the count is important to see how everything affects the day.
Especially the timing if load assignments.
Unless you sat in that seat..
Oh yeah, before its said, we still have a few planners, dispatchers, fleet managers, customet service folks that drove.
Those that drove are go to bat for the driver.

Something y'all are forgetting about not only do we have the War Room in Joplin, if you're within 100 miles of a CWT yard then you get dispatched by them. this can further complicate things.

    Oh yeah, preplans.
If you happen to sit with a planner, you'll see how well the average preplan works out.
Some of which goes back to that whole driver thing.
All of us as drivers do everything we can to plan our trips, have hours, all that good stuff, right?
So a planner should never have to worry about that when preplanning.
Yet plans fail, and if you get burnt enough times, isn't it safer to take the wait and see approach.

Mustang, the other issue with preplans is sometimes our consignees have different plans for the loads than what the planner is aware of. 5x in the last month I have had loads which were supposed to be live unload, got to the shipper and it was Drop/Hook. This is a major problem when you need the trailer for the next load.

    That's very true.
It's definitely tough to haul freight with out a trailer.
For all of us, in office or on the road, that #### Murphy's law will jump up and bite us at every turn.
Then throw the Electronic Logs in the mix, just to keep it interesting.

Yup, and try arguing with a consignee that you're supposed to be live unload. LMAO good luck with that.

To all those that are considering Conway Truckload.. DONT! Regardless of what the PAID, PROFESSIONAL bloggers (actually employed by the trucking companies; and not just Conway) are writing in this forum, working for this company is terrible. You will only make $400.00 to MAYBE $800.00 if you are lucky. You will be waiting.. and waiting for your next load. The working conditions are terrible. And the money and conditions do not improve with seniority or time with the company! If you are considering working for Conway Truckload (or any other company, for that matter) go and PHYSICALLY speak to other drivers at your local truck stop. A very easy thing to do. Ask them how they are doing with the company. Ask them how long that they have been there. You see, pay and conditions are so bad for most of these large trucking companies, they have actually had to hire paid, professional bloggers to report false, positive information on these posts in an attempt to replace all the drivers leaving their companies in droves as a result of the poverty level pay and terrible working conditions. And to all you paid bloggers that will no doubt ask me to prove your existance, I will ask, "Can you prove to me that you dont exist"? By all means, dear reader, dont listen to anything that you read in this forum, (yes, including my own posts), go and physically speak to other Conway Truckload drivers at your local truck stop!
