Do many companies allow drivers with proper concealed weapons licensees to conceal while they are driving?

What they don't know, can't hurt them though. Personally, I'm not going to care about company policy if my life is on the line.

I have a CCW...Schneider does not allow guns period...I found a local carrier that don't frown on it, but they don't recommend it.

If you do carry, it's a state-by-state thing if it's legal or not (nothing in the FMCSA about CCW)...read your laws or your arse could see some vertical bars in your future.

edit: poor attitude about your career mate...yes your life is valuable, but you can take care of any trouble by not looking for it to begin with. If trouble finds you, and your in the cab...your tire thumper is a quicker draw than a gun. Outside the cab, just get off the runway...

alright, thanks for the answers. I think that's frustrating though....everyone seems so quick to take away our rights...ugh
I don't even necessarily think of it as my personal protection. I live out in the country and there's been a few times I hit a deer and needed to just put em down so they don't suffer.

In 3 million plus miles there has not been one ocassion where a handgun would have improved upon or solved a situation.

I believe in your rights to keep and bare arms, So run with your windows down and your bare arm flapping in the breeze. One place you do not need a gun is in a Commerical Vehicle.

That's typical Californian response... 'We surrendered our liberties, and now we expect you to as well.'

When you were issued a cdl,

    you lost a few rights,

    from what I've noticed.
