We have a 2006 kenworth w900l. was driving home in the near dark during tropical storm lee when i found i was driving in high water which i believe covered the headlights of the cab. could water have gotten into the fuel tanks? Does anyone have any history with driving through high water? it has been a week and so far, i have had to replace a wheel seal and have the rears drained. the fuel filter had water in it when i checked it today. i am worried that my troubles have just begun.

I would drain all the oils, motor/trans/rears. Much cheaper than taking a chance of water being in them...
Get some "water finder" paste like they use in the gas stations to check for water in the storage tanks. If i had any doubt i would drain tanks, cheaper than taking a chance on ##### up the fuel system...:biggrin_2553:
Best of luck with it and let us know how you made out...

Definetly check the trans and rears for water. I'd grease too it if it were mine.

If something like this ever happens just before you park in freezing weather, I'd spray the heck out of the brake shoes with /wd-40.
