I am currently enrolled in a trucking school in fontana, just got my permit and I am scheduled to start practicing on the road soon. Everything is going very smooth so far. My only concern is my mvr. I was convicted of reckless driving followed by 2 suspended license ticket the same year. All this happened 7 years ago and I've been clean ever since. Will I have a chance at getting hired at all?

Yes, Most company will ask, but the length of time, you should be fine, Just dont exspect a top company at first
solo86 Thanks this. -
Most companies are only concerned about the last three years. But I would be confident Werner, Swift or somebody would pick you up.
solo86 Thanks this. -
I doubt companies will even give it a second thought considering its been 7 yrs. What do u mean 2 suspended license can u tell us whats that all about?
solo86 Thanks this. -
are there GOOD jobs in Fontana?
-
Thanks for the positive feedback....The suspensions were from driving with a suspended license from the reckless driving conviction, twice...stupid, I know.......and I'm not sure if there are any good jobs in fontana...

I'll settle for something decent while I gain experience

I am with Werner and happy with them, they do have a terminal in Fontana, I have not been to that one , just know they have one there...
Were the suspensios due to a DUI/DWI.. cause. That will make it a steeper hill to climb.... -
It was a dui .09 bac at first but had a plea bargain to a reckless driving conviction...

Do not volunteer any information. If they ask about 7 years ago tell them the truth. If they ask about 5 years ago tell them nothing about 7 years ago. Get my drift? Some places ask about 3 years ago and some ask about ever. just tell the truth and you will land a job for one that doesn't ask about your life's history.
