saw some info stating that coming from NC to TX i would not be able to get my CDL's?? (wondering if this is correct) and how much would a CDL transfer be for another state?

I've seen some states require all new tests when transfering a CDL. I believe Illinois does it. Not sure. Anyway, you'll need to pay the fee in the new state at the very least.
