Carrier pays percentage and have my choice of trailers. No oversized freight.
Which should I choose and why?

Ask your dispatch. It depends on the company.

You should already know the answer because if you’re considering working there you should already be looking at a pile of settlements to see what your earning potential and averages can be expected to be.

No oversize ? For a stepdeck ? Serious ? Might as well just save the headache and get a flatbed.. Or just conestoga

If you won’t be doing oversize I would lean towards a Conestoga. But then again if they haul a lot of low freight you’re dragging around a tall trailer and sacrificing fuel mileage for nothing. Your costs won’t be apples to apples with those two trailers, so that’s something else to keep in mind when looking at the revenue also.
