OK, this is weird. When I turn on a turn signal or flashers to back up, they blink for a bit, maybe 20 seconds and then stop, bulbs stay lit. This is truck and trailer. You can hear the flasher still ticking, but no blinking outside. I turn them off and after a few minutes, they'll flash again, but only for a limited time as mentioned above.
I recently traded trailers and the new one has and extra set of flashers on the side. LED's on the back for turn signals too. Would that cause this? Do I need a heavier grade flasher unit? All bulbs are in working order.

I'm perplexed to say the least. Truck is '00 Freightliner Century Class and trailer is '01 Great Dane (photo in signature). Any advice would be very welcome!

    Thanks!

I had a Century that I had to put in a heavier amp capacity flasher when I switched trailers that had more lights. Yours may be weak from age, or have been replaced once with a lighter duty one. I can't remember what the spec was, but most places only sell the light duty ones.

If all your turn signals are LED lights, you can try a lighter duty (car) flasher, but first I'd just try a new standard one. A friend of mine had to go to a light duty flasher when he swithed to all LED lights in his Pete. Something to do with the LED's not using enough power to work the stock flasher.

The only LED flashers are the two on the trailer. All others are regular 'ol incandescent bulbs.

Are you saying that with the regular sealbeam lights the flasher works fine, then when you put the LED's in it doesn't?

Flasher and stop lights and just turned on do not work. If you use on regular light and another LED it's fine. But both led's will light up you will only see one small diode.

Well, if you put a regular light in and they work, its nothing in the wiring. Almost has to be the flasher.
