Confused on carrier company contracting requirements

    I own a small box truck and I’m looking to transition into working with carriers to get loads. While the sign up process is very quick they do not ask for DOT and MC numbers to proceed with signing up. Is this their implication that new drivers will be running under their numbers or do they just trust that we’ll have our numbers out together?

    What company?

    You are not a driver when you lease onto a company for work, you are a company leased to the company. You work under their numbers.
