what were you quoted for? what’s the radius you were quoted for? What’s the minimum liability? What’s the minimum cargo?

but what does all that matter you have free money! I say buy both trucks hire two drivers #### better yet buy 10 trucks the more the better

Instead of risking your own money, why not try a lease/purchase? I hear there are some fine places in Chicago that offer them.

I want to get just one truck for now. It was for $1 million liability and $100k cargo. The distance up to 500 miles at a time. If I have low expenses I can make a profit if I get enough routes and maintenance is not too crazy

77fib77, Rideandrepair and W923 Thank this.

Is financing the truck for 5 years the same thing? I tried renting and they wanted $7500/month including the trailer so not worth it.

Leasing is just another way to structure a Loan. Not subject to stringent lending laws. Usually pay 2 payments upfront, followed by 24/36/48/60, whatever. Usually has a $1 buy out at the end. Lease payments are written off at tax time, instead of using a depreciation schedule.
