Scooter has made very good points. I guarantee you that he is not going to spend 6 hours at a receiver without being compensated for it, which seems to be the gist of your argument.
He can also make a case for enhanced safety by adding flexibility, for which the HOS and ELDs were ostensibly created.
Nothing in what he suggests would require you to have less than a 10 hr. break, heck take 15 if you must. Personally I can't sleep for more than 6 or so hours; we're all wired differently.
We all want to get paid more for doing less, but your way takes away from home time and quality of life.Last edited: Mar 11, 2018

In that scenario, I'm actually driving my big rig during non-rush hour times, in and out of L.A. Which is safer than going in and out during rush hour.Oxbow Thanks this. -
