LMAO! You do not drive! What are you, some flunky in a dispatch office? Just tell them you are leaving? Or drop the trailer in the dock and just leave? Dude, you are living in some sort of fantasy land or are a no good troll. I'm going for the latter.

    @Justrucking2 Hilarious!!
Driver- Could you fellows hurry, I've only got just a few minutes left until I'm out of hours.
Shipper- Sure, we'll get right on that for you Sir!!
Driver- That would be wonderful, and if it's running past my time, could I just leave my 50,000 dollar Reefer here so you could load it at your earliest convenience?
Shipper- Absolutely, and we'll even send an employee over to give you a wake up call.
"Said No Receiver or Shipper in the History of the World!!!"
    Unbelievable!!

These 2 posts are on the opposite side of the spectrum.
One says very little cheating occurs on paper and the other says a lot of cheating occurred.
    LOL

    I agree with @06driver 100%

Truckers are so scared of standing up against abuse (they say "it's just trucking") and then complain why rates are so low.

ELD is a good thing - and I have paper logs - since the abusers will soon bear the pain --- WALMART included

As @tucker pointed out... there's posters who cant decide if they wanna cheat, or work efficiently, within the 14hr HOS, so they blame elogs

I see you laugh at simple points that have no substance. The reason there is a middle is because there is people like you who tend to worship the law made by the people in d.c and others that so called cheat.

Bull haulers are different than what people carry in a box, those bulls die then that trucker is fined heavily. So bravo you found a very easy exception to the rule. Of course they will curb the hos to make due. Dont’t Like it? Maybe you should boycott eating hamburgers

So, back to the heart of my original post. Congressman Babin addressing Transportation Secretary, Elaine Chao.

He was expressing the frustration experienced by drivers regarding the INFLEXIBILITY of the current HOS in conjunction with the ELD mandate.

She agreed to meet with him and see what can be done.

Anyone who thinks the current HOS are not inflexible is on crack or are just trolling, in my not so humble opinion.

Please, if you haven't done so, go back to link I posted and actually listen to what he said ;-)

But he said crashes were up 56 percent in the last 7 years, those were preelog years.

And most days I can drive 150 miles and never see a bear, most days I never see anyone pulled over and I drive 500 miles a day.
But I see car after car driving 80 plus while playing on the phone.

Bablin should be preaching for more law enforcement and higher fines, the kind of fines that make us have a bowel movement when we see anyone pulled over.

    spyder7723 and Trucker61016 Thank this.
