I hope it does...BUT...not at the expense of SANE / realistic expectations from other industry players.

As my mechanic just told me the other day.... Sometimes you have to grind the valves on a used head, to make them seat properly.

I equate HOS inflexibility to Un-even valve seats. A little grinding is needed on all parties, so a new normal can happen.

In my case, I get loads that go 600 miles - one way - thru north east traffic. RC gives me 15hrs to do it. Somehow, the loads are not always ready at scheduled pickup time (o_O). That delay, plus North East speed limits, always kill my clock. I just do what I can, and cover my butt with striking out stated delivery time.

Oh, and if I wanna catch some shut eye, I use the 8/2 split and keep it moving. If the 8/2 split can be spread out to 5/5 or 6/4 or 7/3 I would be extra happy.

And again flexibility is code word for wasted time. On a dock, twatfacing, playing stupid games, whatever you people do that wastes time.......

The 14 hour clock is there for a reason.

Huh getting your work done inside of 14 hours is stupid. Makes you wonder what all these boys begging for longer days are huh?

If you can not make a good living inside 14 hours your ####ing up. Plain and simple it is on you because 99% of drivers are doing it.

Here let me help you two boys out. Next time you go to the Dr (You know the one that helps you with your "little" problem) ask him for a prescription of this. Photo Jun 01, 11 06 27 PM.jpg

Then maybe you will comprehend not putting up with shippers and receivers BS.

Unlikely I know. Much easier to whine you need even more hours to waste away all day. For the same pay huh? Because people like you two just say "That's trucking".

Uhm no. For 99% of folks it is not.
