Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I' just loaded the frequencies and hopefully they'll be active here in the Northeast.

    Solus,
Try listening on 29.62 and .66; we've got open repeaters here in NC on those outputs, too.
Also, a lot of the folks on 10 AM are using 28.400 as a calling freq, so if you hear a beat note there when you're in SSB, try flipping over to AM.
A couple of the guys over in Winston-Salem have put old EF Johnson Messenger I's on 10 meters (and 75 meters).
    I love boatanchors.
Real radios glow in the dark :)

I can probably hit Middlesex, MA from my house and possibly Essex as it's across Cape Cod Bay from me.
I've been noting the calling frequencies mentioned here and plugging them into my radio.
I often travel from Massachusetts to South Florida and back. It would be nice to ragchew with others since I'll be on the road for 18 + hours.

AM on 28.400? I thought AM was at 29.000. Correct me if I am wrong. I used to run some AM on 29 Megs with an Icom 706 IIG. Isn't SSB the norm on 28.300-28.500? Just askin'.

Boat anchors? How 'bout a Collins KW1?:biggrin_255: Buddy of mine had one......... I got to run some CW in his shack with it! Neat! It brought Joe Walsh (The Eagles) out for some discussions about it! He LIKES Collins stuff!
