I bought a used Connex CB and guy told me about "going between the channels", ...after installed it worked just fine, but now I've installed it into a different truck and now I have some problems.
Im unable to transmit and unable to hear any traffic, ...I CAN hear static when squelch adjusted. I installed two new Firesticks and would like to think that the factory coax is in good shape since its a 2007 truck.
Wondering if some knobs got bumped or turned while not installed, however, Ive tried messing with the mode switch and the band selector and still no RX/TX.
Please help. Thanks a million!!!!

Never assume anything! However, if you don't know how to adjust the knobs or what they are for, I would start there. Find somebody to show you how to work the radio, then check out the antenna system. If it still doesn't work, then I would take the radio to a good repairman.

Yeah, it worked very well when I bought it and for bout 6 months after, ..just installed in my new work truck (2007 International) and it isnt working the same as it did. When doing a radio check on 19, I do hear responses, however, they sound like Im off by one channel and the transmission is bleeding over. Sounds like garbled static.
Thanks!!!

You need shop to check it. Is it on frequency? Could be band board IC miscounting, bad diode, cold solder to feet of 10.24 crystal, etc.. Or other things. You could just be on FM not AM. With the zero info you supply who knows. You should at minimum describe exactly where every knob is set. We cannot see it.
