Without at least pulling the instrument panels back and a few other spots to look at the harness I’d be steadfast at my low ball offer. Something about the copper them ######## are after and they can mess a harness up way past repair. Getting a complete can be expensive and or hard to get without a used jacked up mess. Then the smell on top of all that. Possibly every bit of it, but without being sorta sure of it it’s not worth the gamble to me. With 3.90’s it’s gonna be twisted up high for work in the lower 48 and light to boot. I wouldn’t want to listen to it, some will beat the fuel mileage drum but honestly 3.90 or 336 it is what it is on that. Been down that rabbit hole too. A good set of rears or regearing those will set a guy back around 4K plus programming speedo ecm etc. I get a project there fun every one says.....buying the truck you need for the task at hand is always cheaper/better in the long run than a close hoping to make it work. It’s probably a bit short coupled for my taste but doesn’t mean it’s not the right deal for someone. I agree it’s setup nice for that part of the world. To make it something it ain’t cost cash and one look at that truck tells me 1 thing for sure. It won’t go cheap cause the owner knows it’s set up for right for that part of the world. Knows what top of line trucks like that bring and knows it was top of the line when parked. Probably has decided to sell it but can’t stand to part with it so if you want it get them Benjamin’s out. He also been around long enough to know some fool will buy it and see that big ride it could be........except for that #### bank note, and the bill at CAT......and and and seen that too many times to count too

Thats good. A completely redone truck like the one you are describing, would be worth a LOT of money!

Something to think about with the wiring harness is having it remade. There’s a company in the north central part of the country that can basically copy one if you send them the old one. I had them do a couple years ago for some tractors that had burned and ruined the wiring but not completely destroyed it. They have the equipment to put it in the braided loom that a lot of off road stuff uses and did a very nice job. We have also made some harnesses and sen them there to be put in loom. Prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately I can’t think of the name of the place. Dad did most of the dealing with them I can try to find out.

I would love their info if you think of it. I’m really good at electrical but as we all know age is hard on it
