I have taken the first steps and contacted a local training school to get my CDL. One of the questions they had for me was if I had been in any accidents in the last 5 years. I answered one, my fault I rear ended someone (which actually didn't show up on my accident history when I switched ins companies the following year). After thinking about it though there was a second one involving a atv about two years ago. I was found not at fault as the individual was on a non street legal vehicle and thyt were a minor. My question is ...will 2 accidents within 2 years keep me from getting a job after training? And where can I get a record of my accidents to see if one of them actually show happened? I read dmv only keeps tracks of moving violations is this right?

pull your own dmv driving record. The long form.

Whatever is in it will be what it's in it.

Whatever is not in it is not to be worried about unless a company with a massively superior BK Checking begins to ask you questions. Be honest.

You do not want thefts, accidents or reckless speeding on trucking. And if you have ever touch a drug, illegal or not within the last 12 months, it's going to show up in your hair. You do not want ANY part of a drug scene ever. If you get a hot positive result for soemthing you are through with the industry. All that work., Expenses, effort. Learning. etc POOF MWAH> GONE. DONE. HOME you go.

Traffic violations is one thing. Felonies is the other. Both can easily be discoverable by anyone with your name and address online in a few moments. We once had a Pagan Minister show up in our County wanting to raise up a church. A reporter made availible resources in Arkansas to the Court online and we were able to individuality discover exactly what this person had in the recent past.

Obviously we were not allowed to use this knowledge against them in any way or we ourselves stood open to prosecution ourselves. But enough talk did come out of that to put a end to this particular movement in terms of churching. if this man did not have any record at all City hall may have approved his application. But because he did have several convictions, they were unable to. (Thank god...)

Some companies will hire you. Where is your location; state & nearest city. We can give you some job leads to check on.

There's a few companies that will hire you. Some say "no more than 2 at fault accidents within 3 yrs." or something similar. You'll have a job though; no problem there. Some companies are bending their own hiring criteria these days anyway, so your chances are excellent.
Here's a real good outfit you have a chance with:
    Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller.com
Requirements for recent cdl school graduates:
    Coast to coast refrigerated trucking.

      • At least 23 years of age
      • Class “A” CDL
      • No more than 3 employers in previous 12 months
      • Meet our requirements for accidents & violations in past 5 years
      • Refrigerated experience a plus, but not required

Paschall Truck Lines : Murray,KY - this is a second chance company that runs only eastern states.
    Roadtex Transportation
    TransAm
USA Truck - pretty decent dry van outfit.
Senn Freight Lines - coast to coast flatbed.
Navajo Express - coast to coast refrigerated trucking.
Southern Refrigerated Transport - coast to coast refrigerated trucking.
Western Express - coast to coast dry van & flatbed trucking.
Lynn Moving & Storage - Louisville,KY - household goods movers; local & coast to coast.
(I'd put Freymiller and Navajo Express at the top of the list, then the others next)

Here's another one; the pay isn't good, but it's a job until you get some time behind you on those accidents:

They sometimes bend their hiring rules on accidents. It's worth a try.
