Still more "food for thought"....
Just in case no one else has brought it to your attention: many of the better carriers that hire new(er) drivers have some sort of CDL school tuition reimbursement program.
How that works....will of course vary...from one carrier to the next.
Thus -- tuition at an independent CDL school will not necessarily be a permanent, up-front expense for you.
Also: depending on where you live -- & your income level, & status -- you may well qualify for certain grants &/or scholarships....to offset (or possibly even eliminate) the major portion of CDL school costs.
It may well be very much worth your time to thoroughly inve$tigate $uch.
I got a CDL-A on the cheap...mainly by investigating the above.
