Just starting school (SAGE) and thinking about Jones Brothers for my first job. Talked to them and they seem pretty nice, forcused on safety. Smaller company, 50 trucks, good record, out for at least 3 weeks at a time (don't mind that) and willing to train. Overall, my plan is company truck for a bit then O/O route.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

:biggrin_25525:Have you talked to them face to face and seen their home terminal? You can gleem tons of info by up close observations, such as their office/shop/yard cleanliness and also how many empty trucks are in the yard. If they have 50 trucks, but 20 are sitting empty in the yard, not a good sign. If you're in their office area and can hear their dispatchers, you may be able to overhear driver problems. I would go a step further than just talking to a recruiter over the phone. They should be open to you taking a tour of their facility. Just some thoughts.:biggrin_25525:

Excellent advise. As a matter of fact, I'm heading there next Wed am for a face to face, etc. Good idea on what to discuss, look for.

Will update after face to face. I will tell you the guy I talked to has been around for a long time and seemed to like to help 'new' folks. I'm 54 and starting a new endever. Keeping positive attitude and hope to do well representing the industry.

    Thank you.
