Fairly newbie to driving my driving resume is school August 13 ....signed on with Trans Am August 13 ...leased right away (first amateur mistake) signed a six month drove for 3 of it and had to walk away ..yes the dirty "Abandoned" word ...I didnt do so under a load and the short explanaton is I was buried under negative settlemets , went on to the road under no unemployment and not having had worked in 8 months , started broke and ended broke ..so had to leave when offered a mon-fri 9-5'r on home time, just to survive and stay out of jail with child support...

I enjoyed the road, loved my Kenworth T-700 loved the job but made zero doing it unless you count $50 buck advances , loved the automatics and the comforts of the TA setup

    dream list
auto truck (I suck at shifting)
    only looking to company drive
would like to stay out of the northeast

My questions is one how screwed am on a Lease termination on my DAC?
Are there any Auto shift companies that hire out of central Florida?
and the wild question does Trans Am have a forgiveness policy? Ive already guessed this answer lol

The question is did you return the truck to them or leave it at a truck stop?

Not taking the truck back most likely has gotten you an abandonment on your dac report which doesn't look good at all. It is going to be slim pickings for you if you want to drive otr again more than likely.

OK then that's abandonement. No company will hire you. Many say no abandonment ever under their requirements..You better hang on to the job you have. You should have thought this plan out long ago like asking a close relative for help getting home. You can forget about companies looking at your lease termination, the abandonment is far more serious.

Comcar has some auto trucks. They're headquartered in Auburndale. Study the website and see which division you prefer and apply.

The truck abandonment could be serious with most companies. If Comcar won't take you, then try a second chance company for 6 - 12 months, then Comcar might reconsider. Try Paschall Truck Lines, Werner, CRST, Benny Whitehead Trucking(Southeast to West Coast turnarounds), Carolina Cargo(West Coast turnarounds), Martin Enterprises of the Carolinas(West Coast turnarounds), then go to Comcar after 6 - 12 months. Like the others said, slim pickins' & if you want to return to trucking will probably just have to take what you can to get started.

just ordered a DAC to see what there is on it

my above story wasnt a choice of what to do its what I had to do , Ive never quit anything much less abandoned anything , making sure my speacial needs son had what he needed took precedence over my future in driving , Im not blaming anyone anymore than myself for the situation as of now , am just seeking some guidance or moreso info since Id love to get back driving

You had very good reasons for leaving the company.Family should always come first. But you should have thought it thru.No matter who you apply to,companies don't care what your reasons are, they have a strict policy no abandonment and won't bend the rules.Be prepared for not so welcome answers to your thread.I think your better off staying home with your son.Trucking don't pay well at all,not enough care for your son and live on the road.He needs his dad at home by his side.Even though you ordered your DAC,there may not be anything on it as of yet but mark my words there will be could take months.
