Console gaming with an inverter and auto shutof off truck

I just finished Gullivers Travels last night, what with the Lilliputians and the Giant. That kind of old english is falling by the way side these days. I'll carry on with my stack of books and so on. But I worry that the future generations will no longer sit and wrestle with material of that nature.

 

I have a artillery manual on the bed, operations of a 81mm Mortar and 155mm tubes. The process of calling fire and locating to adjust until target complete is a mind bender and induces sleep quickly for me. All those numbers. And a 1:50,000 map with 12 grid squares... whoo ee.

 

PS4 can pull up to around 180 watts on its own when it's running heavy graphics, mine averages about 150 but occasionally spikes to 200.(I have a kill-a-watt meter, fun little tool). TV probably only pulls 30-40 watts, they are really efficient these days. I can't run both off a 300 watt cobra plug in inverter, but had no issues with a direct wired 400 watt inverter.

 

I have books on my IPad and IPhone. If you don't want to buy books they do have a lot of free books to download.

 

Try this if your truck shuts off before a idle cutoff; Set your trailer brakes, but don't set the tractor brakes. I notice with my truck, when I do this, it doesn't shut off after a couple of minutes due to idling. I have a Frieghtliner Cascadia btw.

 

There are a number of libraries in my area, quality ones who have been dumping books ranging from the 30's through the 40's all the way up to the 70's lately. People have changed and many of the books were free and we collect them from several libraries to maintain our own small library in our building. There are a variety of material carefully chosen to keep it wholesome, family, western and religious with a touch of romance carefully audited to remove the filth.

Some of the books dumped included trade industry type text books with industrial processes and recipies for say steel. This much coal, this much lime and a dab of iron ore along with a few other things and presto steel. But not just any steel you can make armor, or weapons or silverware or whatever by changing percentages listed in those nice textbooks.

I have discovered both Archival Sources online mainly for train material and trucking along with Google books that are free with many good books in online form. I always rejoiced in the reading material whatever it might be. But found some such as JAVA Programming and other certain material to bore me to tears or cause me to run from it in terror. Thera are limits to what I can do in life and programming is not one of them.

There is a sufficient change in the languages from the old books, for example the word Gay means to be happy and carefree then, today it means something that is a adomination. Follow me? And some of the concepts expressed by the authors dating as far back as 1540 in written form is diffiicult to me because today's technology exists in ways that these people never knew about and would have called it sorcery.

I was not such a bookworm. I found peace in them. But my joy was in certain sports and martial arts. Something my parents never approved of because it was not a peaceful hobby despite their interest in living history and reinactments for civil war.

 

Some else to think about for ps4. You might want a Pure Sine Wave inverter. The are more money and you can get a plugin one. They are for running computers and stuff. They make real power just like house. You can google the difference but the cheap ones can mess up computers or stuff sensitive to power. I ran laptop in my truck for years without trouble on cheap regular inverters. It just something think about if your really into gaming and want to keep stuff working correctly for years. I had laptop stop working in truck. Took it home plugged it in to regular power. It worked again. Just Google pure sine wave inverter and you can see if it something you might want.
