    I read where it’s actually cheaper to just let them sink and let the insurance companies deal with it,than try and retrieve the cargo.Most of it is probably destroyed anyway.

    Frankly, it’s probably Too dangerous for anybody to get anywhere near there to keep those from falling… Because I can’t see how they’re gonna keep the rest of those that are listing from falling off that ship

    If youve ever seen the latches securing container to container, it's amazing more of them aren't lost. A friend of mine works loss prevention for Matson and he has told me its very common for these ships to lose outside, stern containers in passage, actually the cheep seats you might say. Theres no recovery, its all insurance claim, at best there headed for the scrap yard.
