Are you a "Program Pig" like me?

I LOVE 'software" that does "stuff"; especially if it's FREE!
What I REALLY like is the ability to turn FLV into video files that can be edited.
    FLV???
Those FLASH Video files like YouTube uses.

I have known for a couple years that REAL PLAYER contains a built-in video download utility that will download almost any video file from any website (except FLV files from Hulu or the Network websites) at it's "native" resolution. REAL PLAYER will also PLAY the FLV files.

Click the "Download This Video" link........

A couple days ago, REAL PLAYER informed me that there was an "update".
So......I D/L and installed the UPDATE.

I discovered that RealPlayer NOW includes a BUILT-IN Converter, that converts the FLV to Real Media, Windows Media and Apple Media files. You can even program the resolution of the file.

NOW, you can edit and/or splice videos together, even just using Windows Movie Maker.

REAL PLAYER offers TWO downloads; REAL PLAYER FREE and the "paid" version that gives you access to "paid" music and video services.
MAKE SURE you download the FREE version.

    Have FUN

Just about every program I've tried that does this usually creates a video with the audio horribly out of sync.

NOT SO with this one.......audio IS "n-sync".
RealMedia (Helix) has been making quality Audio/Video players and authoring tools for over 15 years.
Give it a shot. If you don't like it, you can always uninstall.

I use the downloader for FF. I'm pretty sure that Format Factory will convert it. I'm not real crazy about Realplayer, but I haven't used it for quite a while.

RK, I use the paid version of Real Player, as it will convert to almost any format. LOVE it.

    Then....

To convert video to FLV format, I use Riva FLV converter. You have to play with the settings a bit, but you can get good quality video out of it. This way, I don't have to host the video on youtube or photobucket and get the extra stuff at the end of the video that they automatically embed. Riva is a nice little FREE tool too.
