I would say no it's not, and even if it were it would be so cost prohibitive it wouldn't be worth it. And I don't think you will find a shop that would risk the huge fines to install one.

Considering that gliders are built I would think the likelyhood of being fined for putting in frame is unlikely. The engine itself would comply with emmisions standards of its year. I would likely be doing the install myself with the help of some old mechanic buddies so that point might be moot. Appreciate your input though.

Except your truck is NOT a glider. They have different rules.

Technically should be possible to install it but is illegal to use EPA 2004 motor on 2014 chassis, actually fist D12s came without EGR before 2004, ; would be more cost effective to sell it and buy a 2007 or older with D12 and don't have to worry every time you get pulled for DOT inspection.

The DOT does not care if anyone has a 2004 engine in a 2014 truck and they will never ask about it. Lots of trouble and expense to do this kind of swap though if not DIY. OP would be better off to get a 1999 or older truck in good shape already or just rebuild a tired one.

All that work for what gain? Better engine options out there than the D12.

If you’re going to do a dumb swap put a n14 in it or anything pre emissions.

the d12 and d13 won’t be a straight plug swap. Considering one is full of enissions and the other isn’t.
