Converting a 2019 W900 3 axle to 4 axles

    A 5 axle truck is a big difference than a 4 axle truck. You raise both your lifts while loaded, you 5th wheel is still more or less sitting in the middle of your tandems. Try just raising your rear lift, and leave your front one down, that will be very similar to a 4 axle truck with a rear lift only, and see how it steers.

    You raise a lift on a 4 axle truck, the weight shifts a lot more. You raise a rear mounted lift, now your 5th wheel is sitting over the rearmost axle of your tandem group. That will take a lot of weight off your steer.

    I raise my rear lift all the time with no noticeable difference in steering. If I was the OP I wouldn’t be scared at all to add a rear lift but I would spend the extra money on a dual tired steerable lift.
