Can you convert a regular T800 to a T800 wide hood just by changing the hood some mounts and the rad or is there more to it than meets the eye?

Might try getting in touch with Kenworth at HQ in Washington (425-828-5000), maybe see if you could even talk to Applications Engineering to answer your questions.

I know I called their general phone number and got someone on the line to ask a question about the cab of my T-8 and customer no-service said I should speak to my dealer about my inquiry. I wanted to say "You're kidding, right? KW designed and built the truck but I have to talk to the not-so-bright-nor-interested local dealer?", but I didn't. You might have more luck now, but I have talked to AE folks and they are pretty sharp.

Yes I want it for the cooling I have a louvered fin and dimpled tube rad in my truck probably the best rad I could have in the truck at the size restrictions and it cools good just the 725hp makes a little too much heat for it lol.

Glad you mentioned that about a 725 tune in a T800. Just upgraded my radiator and was wondering the same thing. Did you ever try out a 7CZ flash?

I don't have a 7CZ flash he does. I thought they were 625 flash files but it makes sense that maybe there are other CAT flash files for 7CZ that are more I guess.

Its a 600hp 7CZ file with a 800hp marine cam and non wastegated turbo. Been told its good for 725 at the flywheel.
