VERY good small open door company where you can see, visit dispatch and safety. Approx. 100 Freightliner cascadias maxed at 67 mph. and do SW and California and back EVERY week. Not the highest paying but you DO and REPEAT DO get 3000+ miles per week,if you do the west coast fleet. I do believe you do need to live near the KC Kansas area, but I have seen a drivers vehicle in the parking lot from southern Iowa, so I would give them a call. You DO NOT take the truck home. I am working on 20-1/2 yrs of going all 48 states and haven't been happier. I will be there 1 yr in a few weeks. I believe they do have a midwest fleet, IA,KS,MO,IL, IN and MI. I do not know too much about that fleet. Hope all this helps

Thanks captnrb, There was a ad here on Craigslist, I have not done anything with it except email with Recruiting/Safety, seems like they are running more to Phoenix and so they are expanding this way as well, I don't care where I am the gal said she could see me home every 2 weeks! that is cool with me, What do you mean by the pay? i'm looking at longevity not to make a mountain and be stressed out all of the time! 3000 miles sounds good do the trucks have APU's? Or do they allow liberal idling? and with a terminal not being here i'm sure the truck will be close to home if not at home....? Thanks. Stay Safe.

Good luck there luvtotruck!!! Starting pay is 32 cpm max 35 cpm 5 cpm is per diem. I am old school and didn't think I would like the electronic logging but LOVE it. They do a points systems for the raises and in 6 months I got my 1st raise. It is based on how many loads and their pay per load. APU's ..yes the "REAL" ones and not the junky battery packs. thermokings. I can remember once MAYBE twice since Nov.1 of last year that I did not make 3000 miles. It does work out on one check better is you leave out earlier in the week, their pay cut off is Monday. They give you a trip envelope when you go out and just keep everything in it when you come back in. You do need to keep track of every states mileage and the fueling (mostly Love's and a few pilots) Usually when I deliver in Phoenix area ( just west of town usually), they usually send me out to the LA area. Several pickups in the San Bernardino area and one in Vernon which is almost E LA. We do a little bit from CA to Denver. The good one is from Fontana to San Antonio, TX which is pretty light. Just came out of Oakland headed back to the terminal. They do work really well and if you do need to idle, no problemo, just tell the girls upstairs that you had to. Stressed out?? There really isn't much stress with this company, just set the cruise and kick back!! lol. Hope that sums it up that you need. Hope ya can make this little company you home. GOD SPEED DRIVER =)

    Captnrb,

Are you still with Convoy? I'm thinking about going with them from an ad in Craigslist I saw. The Recruiter, Jeff, told me that all I'd do is Tulsa (picking up in Wichita, Topeka or KC) to S. Cal. and back to Tulsa. 5 day out, 2 in at home. Is that really how it works? No deviation from a regular route? Does it really end up being 6 to 7 out and 2 in after delivery/pick up times, etc?

Just any info would be nice! Thanks! Message me with your email if ya want and I'll get back with ya that way.

    Thanks again!

Thank you so much for verifying everything Tina told me over the phone about the company! I recently turned in my application because I'm relocating from Texas back to Kansas and this company sounds amazing! I hope I get the job!!!

I work for Convoy and I have to say its a great company to work for. The pay is average and the trucks are slow set at 68 mph but the my weekly mileage is always over 3000 miles a week. Home time is good here I get home every week. I get the day I get in plus 2 more days off. If something comes up and I need extra off its never been a problem getting it. We drive good equipment and its maintained real good. I know some drivers don't like to go to Califorina but i don't mind. I look at it this way, its easy cruising out there and back and only one day of traffic. I'm out 5 to 6 days on each run. I do go to the Bay area from time to time and the mileage is real good over 3600 for the week but usually takes a day longer. The benefit package is pretty good to. If your interested in finding out more give them a call.
