Ok thanks for the feedback. Would you recommend a better starter company?

Lol! Im not going to swift werner cr england or crst after reading all the comments here. Most feedback I see on conway is good. Dont see alot of bad comments other than pay. I'm wanting to run 48 states and do dry van. Also want inverter and apu. I guess pay is less important to me in first year but still want to make as much as possible of course. Also dont want to team. Will probably find a new company after my first year.

    Then go tanker.

.33 right off the bat at most places.

We have a yard in Ft Myers. Its small so linehaul would be limited. The big yards for any company in Florida are always in Orlando and Jax if they have container connections.

I think tanker would be my second choice.

Con-way is probably as good a starter company as you'll find, but it is no longer a place I'd consider staying for an entire career. I think a lot of the resentment you're seeing from the experienced folks stems from the fact Con-Way has been morphing from the premium carrier that once was CFI into just another mega carrier.

Frankly if I were starting out today, I wouldn't even go with a dry van company -- I'd do tanker or flatbed.
