Don't eat til you get to Kansas...then you can use your phone and call to get the snacks delivered! Home time does wonders for my sense of humor!

Friendly reminder after having company health insurance for a year and hearing the company msg saying nothing is changing but price is going up. IF you/your family is young, healthy, and has no pre-existing conditions you can get health insurance at 1/2 the price on your own than you can through Conway w/ an avg of a $5000 deductible. Most of those will NOT cover generic prescriptions at 100% so you will need to go to wal-mart and pay between $3-$9 for those. At most that will add $150 a year onto what you will pay. Doing this will force Conway to start charging more for all the unhealthy drivers/office people and also save you $1100 a year. Our company health insurance is a joke. If you get it on your own you can set up an FSA just like you can w/ company plan so no biggie there. I will be going back to Golden Rule health insurance and it is $97.21 mo for a family of 3

Talked recently to the owner of a small (12 trucks) company. He cancelled his group policy because it was cheaper for the drivers to go and get their own insurance. He pays them $300 per month toward their insurance premiums once they show him proof of payment.

The raise doesn't mean anything if we do not get the miles. Thursday afternoon, and 0 miles for the week..been sitting in Oregon for 45 hours now.

That is the #1 reason I moved on. Other than mainly that Con-way is a good Co.

Thats insane! I can count the times I've sat at Conway with the fingers in my hand. I can't complain about miles there.
