I averaged $787/week gross when i was there ($40,924 gross for the year). I averaged $1,100 gross per week in my first local job ($57k first year). Then they wonder why people quit...

Yeah give me another Cascadia so I can sit at a Pilot until monday, let me get right on that again.

    Surfer Joe Thanks this.

Just a reminder to anyone considering employment with this company; check out the first page of this thread.

Just a note: interstate carriers are exempt from paying OT because of interstate freight. If you work local for a company and you haul freight that originated outside your state, they do not have to pay OT. If the freight originates in another state, enters your state and is changed (material into clothing etc) then you haul it you are eligible for OT.
The oil fields pay OT because they have to. The product originated in that state and transport occurs tnere. Its the same with fuel haulers in California since our fuel is refined here.

So is Conway a good company to work for? You haven't beaten this horse to death quite enough yet.

    joseph1135 Thanks this.

Of course, you are absolutely correct; I can't let it go.
Anything to help out my fellow workers and to expose corporate greed any way that I can.
BTW, maybe, just maybe, posts like mine are actually making a difference and helping people like yourself become just a tad more fairly compensated in regards to driver pay, among other things.
You're welcome for those increased driver CPM's.
    Someone's gotta do it.

Since you are in a helpful mood, which OTR company would you recommend for a newbie who wanted to go OTR?. I know Conway isn't it, so which ones are?.

So based on that, every other company than Conway is a good newbie/starter OTR company...or at the very least, not as bad as Conway.

    Noted. :biggrin_25525:
