Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Pit stop in Joplin....Trl wheel seal is worst they could find...be in Laredo in Afternoon Saturday

 

In my short 8 months with Conway. There was one customer in Statesville, nc that I had to go back to a Conway Freight yard in Kernsville, Nc and get a double stack trl. But that was only 1 time. So in short only 1 customer that I'm aware of. I also have lost a load or two because I had a dbl stack trl.

 

Joplin. Mo, truck in shop, getting windshield replaced, then over to. Freightliner for power/mpg issues.
Suburban battery dead, so waiting on shuttle (like a common person) to get caffinated, and maybe a waffle.

Yeah, there is a whole row of them out by the shop, just waiting for teams.

Holiday Inn.
Never good when the shop guys send you to the hotel at 1030 am.
Not a good sign, but at least didn't have to sit around the terminal all day to find out.
Nice room with a view, and it didn't cost me a dime.
Will wander over to Freightliner later just to see whats going on with the "BUFF".
Good to give them face time.
Sun is shining and 70 degrees in Joplin, will hit the streets.
Oh yeah, feeling brave, will ride the shuttle, that woman that drives it is a trip.
First time I took a ride on the shuttle.

 

I've never hauled a double stacked load that used that system.
We haul International roof fairings out of VA, that they put one row on pallets on the floor, 5000# if that.
I suggested that they look into using double stack trailers, they could actually make three tiers using it, didn't seem interested, e-mailed our salesperson for that account too.

With those double stacked trailers, would almost have to have a dedicated round trip turn for the trailer to work.
There are not enough of them in the system to have a regular customer shipping a load a day for example to be able to provide a double stack trailer a day without major deadhead involved.

 

Well right now I am sitting waiting in Ardmore, my load is supposed to be ready at 1700 which means I will be running overnight to get it to Sygma, TN. I figure with the hours I am gonna be running I will get it over to W. Memphis and shutdown for my 10, then run it the rest of the way.

I am still pissed about losing that Fl load because of a "green" trailer.

 

Well delivered our load in Calexico,Ca and now we're headed to San Diego to grab a load and take it to Plainview Texas !!! That will put us at over 3000 miles for the week, not bad not bad
