ok, I am convinced more than ever coming home after that trip to Laredo was the right thing to do. the run of bad luck continued yesterday. I got a QC message while I was cleaning the truck saying we needed a trailer in Mexico, and to take the load back over to Pharr (hour drive). I get headed that way, and when I arrive the place is already closed for the weekend. I call and ask dispatch what is going on and they say "we need more empties in Mexico" and I ask if they want me to take the load back home, or drop it at our secure yard (Transmaritime). They tell me to drop it so I head over to play in the mud pit.

After nearly getting stuck 2x in the mud pit (the RGV got pounded with a hell of a storm system Thursday night) I got the trailer dropped on a dry spot, with a concrete landing pad, and request my dispatch back to the house. I then get told to take an empty home with me LMAO. There were over 15 empties at our secure yard!!!:biggrin_2559:

Definitely was time to come home see if I can break this weird cycle of events I have been under ever since that snowstorm.

I'm currently in Lancaster. Got to del my load a day early so I'm thinking this week my luck has changed. While getting off loaded I looked at my air bags and noticed one was coming apart. On my way through the state of Louisiana I noticed the truck was riding weird. So in the morning heading a few minutes from here to kenworth to get a new airbag. Hoping I'm not there all day.

Hopefully not Shreveport KW....I was there for 3 days one time to get an airbag changed out, they couldnt seem to find the airbag. 20 minutes to remove, 20 minutes to install, and I was there for 3 days. Unbelievable....I wouldnt stop there again unless my truck was actually not moving and had no choice.

did any of you guys almost roll over in TX on the frontage road along I-20 the other day?

Im guessing he was a newer driver, he didnt swing at all pulling out of a narrow road onto a 2 way narrow frontage road, and his trailer axles fell in the ditch, he paused for a moment, the decided instead of getting out and deciding what the best thing to do is, he just decided to try and drive out of it (bad idea) as he did the trailer went further into the ditch and tilted over about 45* lifting the drivers side of the trailer off the ground AND lift ALL but the passenger side steer of the tractor off the ground! was the crazyest thing ive ever seen he pulled the brakes at the point, blocking the whole road. I donno how he got outta there, hopefully he called a tow truck instead of trying to continue "fixing" it himself.....watch your tandems....
