Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Yeah, its time for some positives......If I could deal strictly with the first class people in the office that are there Mon-Fri, during bankers hours then everything would be hunky dory. They are the productive ones in the office who actually get things rolling and give us drivers out here consistent miles. Problems occur when the "others" come into the office and start screwing with whats going on. I think LoneWolf would agree that most of the time the miles are good, but when you have a bad week, it tends to be very bad. And I know personally when I have a bad week, it affects my mood and mentality severely. I am here to make money and during those bad weeks, I cant help but think, "I was missing my family for this? I could have just worked at a labor pool to make this and been home every night!!!" Luckily for this week, I got 2950 miles, so that puts me in a good mood, because that means I provided for my family. The problem is, I have little control over how many miles they give me or allow me to drive for the week, and hence where the disconnect between the 'office' and the drivers come in.

 

Like I said my issues happen when I get up into God forsaken northeast, I don't get how he makes such beautiful country then let's scum inhabit it. I'm sitting until the 29th when I load going to Waco

 

So we made it to Petro in Eloy,AZ and they replaced the thermostat and also found that one of the AC hose was bad, we had it replaced about amth ago, they said it a factory defec, also after they replaced the thermostat it's still overheating and losing coolant. It sucks because if they can't find the problem here we'll have to wait till Tuesday to get into Cummins, also the load had to be relayed (this is a jinxed load) the team that came and picked it up at 4am got 8 miles up the road and their EGR valve went out and had to be towed to Phoenix 100+ away. So be careful if you pick up a relay in AZ headed for Charleston,SC

 

Maybe this is just a bad week, somebody at Conway might have said something bad about the military or a serviceman and we're all suffering for it this memorial day weekend?

 

I had the opposite experience with Joplin. I gave up talking to my regular FM and went to talking to the night/wknd people. My daytime FM sucked.

 

Yeah, I think I had the same FM at one time LOL....but now its all good.

 

Sitting in Grand Island, NE for the night. Watching the storm roll through.

 

I like Nebraska, usually good miles whenever I am there or good miles going through.
