Try to be boarded by tonight w/ an MT if you can. 5 trucks headed your way, all afternoon deliveries but I'm going to try and unload mine in the AM or tonight depending and another driver might be trying the same. Reguardless if you get to a T/S let me know where you're at if all goes good I'll pull in around 21:30

They're still trying to track the source of our leak and the more they look the harder they have to push the truck to get it back to full. We'll be going to a hotel for the night. They told us 9pm or later for it to be done. We wouldn't be able to board until tomorrow morning. I'm sure they'll find something for us since she's training me and I'm almost done.

Just a warning if anyone has to ever pick up a load in El Paso at Freeport-McMahon be prepared to work, we just picked up a load of copper coils and we had to get in a nail down the mats for them to put the coils on and then follow behind them and nail down boards to make sure they don't move. On the Qualcom it didn't say anything about driver assist and on top of it you gonna wear long pants and it was over 100 degrees today. also they dont get in a hurry. Sorry guys/gals just venting :biggrin_2552:

The worst experience, well over 3 hours to get PM's done on Truck and APU.
I should have went out to the T/A, but that place stinks to get in & out of, so I thought I'd just do it at Speedco. (Slowco, I say, lol)
Been to this one before, but today the girl that usually does the write ups & checks you in was not there. The Managers were doing it (they failed that part of training).
Now, I'm not saying that reverse racism played a role...But funny how things work when you don't speak the language down here.
I prefer to do this stuff when on downtime, not on road under loads etc. But this time I should have just taken a load and dealt with it.
Oh well, just 100 points from a $40.00 Speedco gift certificate. Yeah, I can get 3 1/2 hats, or 4 bottles of rain x, maybe 2 hats, and 2 bottles of rain x.
Should have gone to T/A, might have needed that shower coupon someday down the road.

Well, we're settled in at the hotel. We'll have breakfast then call the shop to see if it's done or not in the morning.

Mustang, there's no such thing as reverse racism. I just got ignored ready to drop 2-300 on a new pair of boots, so will take my business elsewhere. Told the manager as well that a western store should respect men in working clothes (nice jeans and a tshirt) since we make most of their business. He was walking towards the 2 entry clerks looking pissed as hell.

Been hauling out of there for 20 years.Trick is throw your mats, forklift guy will tell you where (dont have to nail them?).There is a chart on wall where boards go, and how many nails.Save yourself a lot of work, invest in a BFH. Prenail your boards, toss them I'm trailer ahead and behind coils. Then all at once drive.your prenailed boards, with said big hammer.Ten minutes, your done.Using their hammers, and doing all the nailing, will wear you out.Hammer makes all the diffrence
