Oh yeah.... I saw you on the bus Monday morning. So from a seasoned truckers perspective, what do you think of the company so far?

 

Any company can put up a good front. They can have a big fancy building and have all the right answers to your questions. The best way to get to know a company is to talk to its drivers. I have talked to quite a few. Some on here, some on the road and some at the terminal. I havent heard too many complains and that is unusual. Everyone knows a truck driver likes to complain. So combining what the drivers have said and what I'm learning in orientation, I think Con-Way may turn out to be a good company. Just remember that truck driving is not an easy job. A driver makes many sacrifices to drive a truck. Under the best circumstances truck driving is demanding. I think driving for the best available company offering the best advantages for your individual situation and you giving it your 110% best effort it is still hard. Con-Way seems to be as good as or better than the best of the best OTR companies out there. It will only be as good as you make it.

 

Sitting in Columbus, OH. Delivered 19 hours early and as luck would have it I posted to the board and apparently the only truck in Columbus, already @ #1. Should be a good week.

 

Well was in Columbus got another load, my dispatcher is gr8
