sounds like the AC might need recharging. Mine i only idle high occassionally to get some oil throw a little more. Other than that low idle has worked all day.

Chrindy, that sounds like what my AC was doing before it stopped working all together. turned out there was a rock had gone through evaporator so it was losing freon as well as pressure. It would work for a little while then not work worth a ######. Bout to have to fire the truck up to idle. Temp isn't bad, but humidity is killer.
