Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

My adventure on I-77 today. I was heading north on I-77 in NC and at the weigh station just before going into Va. The traffic nightmare begin.
The speed we went did not exceed 25 (it did twice both times for less than a minute.) All the way till we got thru the first tunnel in Virginia. This is located about 25 miles North of Wytheville, Va. The only good thing is it rarely came to a complete stop. No one knew what was the cause of the huge 50 + mile back up. Some said a care broke down or ran out of gas in the tunnel. But as you all no you can never or rarely believe what you hear on the CB.

 

I'm sitting in Ripley, WV. Doing a 34 restart then going my last 145 on Mon to my 1500 appt.

 

Well are guess was right we'll be in this hotel till Monday. Hotel isn't that bad just ready to get on the road. Well hope everyone is having a safe weekend, time to get back to cooking on the menu tonight hamburger steaks,mash taters, green beans with bacon and brown gravy with onions/mushrooms

 

Currently, I am in Cordele, Georgia. Cannot deliver until Monday. Getting a restart in.

 

BOREDDDD!!!!!! 5 documentaries down and am thinking about waking up at 0300 to drive only because I'm bored of sitting

 

Number 2 @ Taylor...will hv a reset in at 0700 am ...not that it was my idea

 

You been there so long they may have to call that hotel you new home.. I really hope you all get rolling on Monday. I pray I never sit that long anywhere except my house. I hope they are paying you all while waiting.

 

Came out on Wednesday had good week going and preplanned for a weekend load after dropping on Sat morning. Got the drop done and the truck broke down! Unassigned on a 750 mile trip. In the hotel in Ardmore, OK. Shop won't open til monday. No complaints, happy to be back.

Sitting in Ft. Pierce, FL relaxing some before I make my delivery in Rivera Beach in the morning.

 

Hopefully we'll be back in our truck tomorrow, fixen to have some yummy homemade steak tacos !!!! Be safe everyone
