Staying in a motel in Kansas City, Misery (Trucker's slang). The truck is at the International Dealership in Kansas City, Misery. There is a recall on something to do with the fuel system for the Internationals. Plus, there is the annual DOT inspection that is due on the truck. Stormy night in KC called for a pleasant night sleep in the motel. Wife called, and she keeps asking what her surprise I have for her on Friday. What she does not know, I have ordered 15 white lilies in a vase by Vera Wang. My wife absolutely loves lilies so I thought I would surprise her, plus, it was for her birthday, so with that being said, "Happy Birthday to my lovely wife!"

 

PA picking up a short run later, soft miles but 1 more run gets me to my low 2000 good enough mark for weeks I leave from home time

Sittin in Lancaster waiting to go pick up at RockTenn to del in Memphis at 0100 on saturday.

 

Had a load planned to Taylor, MI, canceled. New 400 mile trip to Moody, AL. At least its a drop and hook.

 

Day 2, and still broke down. Truck is supposed to be ready tomorrow. No miles this week hardly. Only 428 miles is all I have thus far. Do not get breakdown pay, unless you have been broke down for at least two days.
