I agree about this flying j being old, but I will say this. The food was really good. Showers were nice and to top it off great customer service..

Let's see, where an I? Day 18 from highlighting home. The short miles and low pay and excuses on home time are getting tiresome. Been in this rat hole TA in Edinburg for 3 days now.

You are late...did you bring a note and some refreshments?

Hey deliver my load to the broker monday so I can get the heck out of here! I think I can talk dispatch into giving you $20 bucks for it. Hell, if the brokers were open, I would have dilivered a bunch of loads today just to be moving!

so what happened that you have been there 3 days. As far as miles you have to talk to you FM. When I talk to my FM about miles I state facts. For instance in July I only ran 9000 miles and going into the weekend was barely over 700 miles from doing short runs. Called FM and asked if we could pick up the pace. And my next load was 2600 miles. Also when talking to a FM make it a courtous call. And if that don't work call dvr relations or retention is what I think they are called. I've only been here the 8th made a year and its worked wonders for me. My 1st year 126,000 miles and I took a 10 day vacation and go home every three weeks for 3-4 days. I always try to del my loads early. The load I have now is scheduled for 10:00 on Tue. I'm gonna try to del 10:00 tomorrow. I'm usually 70% successful in del early. By the way this is not directed at anyone in paticular just suggestiond to all Conway dvrs. Last and most important be on time everytime. Just my two cents.
