Picked up this load in Laredo. We were always told, if you do not get your load in time, they will update your ETA. Sent my loaded call, and they never updated my ETA. Thought about it for a moment, and did the calculations, and evening dispatch said, "So, you are going to be late". Quick to rush into blaming the driver, instead of thoroughly looking at everything before rushing into judgment. When I mentioned that to evening dispatch about my ETA was never updated, and knowingly the load was delayed from crossing the border, is that the driver's fault that is waiting on the load, they immediately changed their tone. Ran my time out, and still will not be able to be there by 0630, and I am 387 miles away. Last time I checked, these trucks only go 65mph. Unless there is something I am not aware of.

The one thing that is looking up is that Red Lobster is down the road and it's endless shrimp time LOL, but of course that's only if we have to stay still Monday, if anyone has to stay in Abilene Whitten Inn is really nice, very large rooms with fridges and microwaves

Made it 20 miles north of relay location. Today I learned you can't make it 740 miles in one shift. Good thing I only have to wait 8 hours. Thank you 2-8 split. Almost home, and I cannot wait to hit the beach!
