Mine says, emergency calls only. It has made me madder than a 3-legged dog, trying to bury a turd in an icy lake. I got a green light in the port of entry in New Mexico. I went on in anyways, because I have HM. The scale master lady looked at me, and was wondering why I came in, and then I pointed to the back of the trailer. Then, she realized why I pulled in.

I believe you still could have bypassAccording to the prepass guide on website.ohio & wv need to stop, others can cruise by even with hazmat. But better to be safe than sorry.

You have to stop in Indiana as well, and Illinois. My original home state of Kentucky will want you to come in, and they will know why you came in if they give you a green light. Kentucky DOT got an eye opener, a long time ago, when a tanker driver hauling anhydrous ammonia fell asleep behind the wheel and hit another big truck and shut the interstate 65 down for hours. They never want to see that again. It was catastrophic.

Go to prepass websiteFaq, click on question when have to enter scales.Download the handy dandy guide book; all of 2 pages. If not haz-waste, only Ohio & Wv do you need to stop.Ohio scales have the signs, all hazmat must stop, so I'd stop.I don't know about the agreement I'm Wv, so I'd stop. All others, green light means go.Again, it won't hurt to stop if in question. They did add Kentucky and Texas too, no restrictions.http://www.prepass.com/aboutus/faq/pages/PrePassFaq.aspx

Well I've finally come to my decision and turned my truck in at Joplin on Fri. I will be heading for south Carolinia for about week then heading back to Afghanistan. This is how I based my decision I looked at the last 2 90 day periods and seen how many days I was home driving for Conway versus the days I was home when overseas and believe it or not I was home more being overseas.. be safe and I'll try to post my adventures of Afghanistan. Be safe everyone.
