Plans changed again.... Load from Blythe to Atlanta got cancelled. Then they told us to dh back toward LA (to Santa Fe Springs this time) to pick up yet another Con-way Freight run. This one was picking up just 1 hr after the Atlanta one was supposed to have and going to St. Louis. Before we could make it there, guess what happened?? We got a message....LOAD CANCELLED! Thankfully after that we got another load instantly picking up at the same place going to the freight yard in Montgomery, NY! We got there, picked it up, and are now switching out (my turn to sleep) in Green River, UT! Atleast this is a nice long run. I also really like the Con-way in Montgomery; it's large, easy to find, and with a truck stop right across the street :)

We had a microwave, fridge, 2 laptops, a tv, an xbox, a wii, a bluray/dvd player, and other small electronics in our old truck and they never said a word to us. Have all but the fridge in this one (our big dorm size one just wouldn't fit in this t660 like in did in our t2000) and no complaints. As long as you aren't constantly killing your batteries and don't have bad MPG from idling to keep the batteries charged I think you should be fine.

Very sorry to hear that :( No clue what a inframe is but I hope it doesn't end up costing you too much and that you can get back on the road ASAP!

Inframe is pretty much redoing the engine bottom end, like the bearings and stuff without removing the engine from the truck

Thanks Katey but it's gonna cost around 15,000 to fix which really sucks but at least we dont have to come up with the money up front we have an escrow account, Also an inframe from what i understand is pretty much a rebuild on our motor. The main thing that sucks is the time off tho the hotel room will be nice

    On hometime until Wed.:biggrin_25517:

As for in truck stuff, I have a small fridge, keurig coffee machine ( must have) and a microwave. I'm lucky in that my truck has an APU:biggrin_25520:, so I don't worry much about idling. A TV will be my next purchase for the truck. I think like Katy said as long as you have an inverter and are not killing your batteries or over idling, you'll be ok. I was on the road for a month without the fridge and microwave, and could do without them, but they sure are nice to have. As I am solo, the fridge/room issue isn't as critical for me, but I could see it be an issue in a team truck. When I was out with my finisher, we used a cooler, but we spent a lot of money on ice, and I thought it took up a lot of floorspace.

No clue where I left off in my posting, lots has happened this past week or so. We are currently in IL delivering 3 stops. Hopefully they get us something good from here. Last two weeks have been crappy, less than 3000 miles each for a team :/
