Don't feel so bad, TruckerPete. I picked up a load on Friday night. Drove 547 on Saturday and been sitting since Saturday 1630. The load CAN NOT deliver till Tuesday at 2130! I asked the DM about dropping it on Saturday, ofc got the "the customer is waiting for the load", deal. Waited till this morning and called the broker but was told No I had to wait till my appointment time. Also got no response from the DMs today. So it looks like I will be getting some AWESOME miles this week!
I wonder how many times this happens to a solo driver in Con-Way..??? -
Sitting in Laredo, one of many.

Well I've been noticing there not paying detation like they should be... I'm rdy to tell em where to go...
-
Been here for a short period and Ill give them a bit of time. But if things are like this on a steady week Ill have to look else where.
Not sure how companies think drivers can survive without miles while on the road. I have always said: I can get paid 5.00 per mile but if their isn't any miles to run what the hell does it matter how much you get paid per mile? -
Most time miles r good just a lot of bs

lonewolf4ad Thanks this.

Yup, do it for over the QC as well so you have proof you contacted them. My FM is great about taking care of paying me, but I have heard other drivers too many times talk about how they get stiffed over the phone. Remember the FM's don't like to have to pay alot of incentive pay (detention/layover) because it can reflect badly on them for not using appropriate dispatching themselves.
paul_4lp Thanks this.
