Road Ranger/Pilot in Champaign, Illinois. Truckster says 150 parking spots, but I'm counting 34. Glad I got here early.:biggrin_2559: Just started raining and supposed to rain on into tomorrow.

Saw a pair of Crested Caracara's down in Laredo. A first for me. And Mr. Possum amazingly survived a very close call this morning. Thought he was a goner.

Sitting at our customer in Kalamazoo. Highlighted for home when I got here. Offload in the morning. Hope all this water on the ground doesn't become ice overnight.

XLS maybe you, or another of the longer employed can help me. Are we supposed to send in a request for an approximate home datea couple weeks out, or do we just request hometime when we get ready for it and they hilite from there?

I have never requested being home on a specific date. I Highlight for home approx. a week before I'd like to be home. They are supposed to get you home within 8 days. I generally highlight as soon as I get to the consignee like I did today or when I drop a load at a terminal. If you have an Appointment that you must make, try to let you're FM know about it atleast a couple weeks in advance and remind them often. There is a provision where you can highlight when you are within a certain distance of the consignee, but I'm not sure what that distance is. Probably 50 or 100 miles.

ok, so what I would do is just once I make the final load towards a week from my desired hometime i just send in the "request time off" and destination where I want it off?

Correct. Do the Time Off Request(form 24) immediately after you do (form 8/Arrived at Customer) at the consignee. Cause Form 12 and 13 require you to go on the board. Wanna be highlighted BEFORE you go on the board.

From what I remember it is 25 miles. Just as easy to do it the way you do though. You are right about the having an appt at home thing. My fleet mgr would let me know when I should hilite in order to get home by a certain date....did it twice. Oh, btw its been warm enough the last couple days that this stuff shouldn't freeze. You are only about 1.5-2 hours away from my house right now.

    xlsdraw Thanks this.
