Found a spot to stop for the night, Sitting at the Flying J exit 305 on I-95 in Florida gotta deliver some top ramen in Orlando in the morning at Publix Supermarket, hopefully can get a decent load out of here only sitting at 1000 miles for the week

Headed to the house......

Miami, AZ -- dispatched yesterday, picks up tomorrow, and delivery appointment is 3 days out on a 32-hour run... Last run had similar wait times, but I'll still manage 2200 miles for this pay week. Unfortunately, it'll be Wednesday before I get my first load for next week's pay period.
I also learned (800 miles too late) that payroll needs the cash register receipt for scale reimbursements -- in addition to the scale ticket. Seems bizarre to me given the price, company name, truck #, trailer #, and date & time all printed on the scale ticket, but I'm learning its best not to attempt to find rhyme or reason in anything payroll.Last edited: Feb 8, 2013

I don't get it either DY, but like you said best not to argue with them. Hope everyone has been doing well on miles and is staying safe (not to mention clear of) winter weather as much as possible.

Well found somewhere in Miami to park for the night 595 Truckstop isn't a bad place to stay as long as you can find it, also hope and pray you NEVER get a load of Top Ramen to deliver to Publix, OMG what a mess, 1st load we got was from Richmond,VA to Orlando,FL appt 7am got there at 630 didn't leave till 4pm then 2nd load was from Orlando,FL to Miami with the same stuff going to another Publix Warehouse, appt 4am got there at 345 didn't leave till 930. They finished and signed exit time at 630 but then lost paperwork, didn't realize we where till there until my husband went in and asked if done. Also you have to pay a lumper, which no one tells you up front and half the people there are from the islands and you can't hardly understand them. Now we're deadheading to Lawarenceville,GA to grab a load and take it to South Bend,IN, hope everyone is being safe especially if traveling on the East coast

I always just add my scale ticket to my fuel...or you can just charge it straight to your comdata card just give them cashier your trk# & miles...works for me ....same with the Ambassador bridge headed into Canada...just give card and your gross est weight ...and charge it!NotTheAverageTrucker Thanks this. -

Anyone else seen how much our government loves to ____ us over on our checks this year. My net is about 100/week less than the same mileage and extra last year
TruckerPete1990 Thanks this.
