No I am solo Texas regional ( I do occasionally see OK, and LA). One of the great things is the board # doesn't matter for me, I am upfront when a regional run comes up on availability and I have hours. I work less hours per day than most people out here, but still make moderately decent money (I am sure there are guys pulling better checks but they also drive more than 3-4 hours a day and then sit at a truckstop relaxing lmao). County is right though, not everyone will make easy money with little work right off the bat. I was here nearly a year when I got this position, had been stuck in Canada several weekends in a row, and was getting to be downright pissed about things with Conway dispatch.

ok was just wondering i start the 25 for the mid south regional so i might explore more territory then you. They say i will travel KS,OK,TX,LA,MS.AR and ocassionaly might go out of my region for a run but they have 2 dispatches to get me back in my region. They also say i can be home once a week but might stay out 2 weeks at a time then go home for 2 days sounds good to me.

I am allowed 1 day off every pay schedule, but I also have the only gig I am aware of with truckload where I am guaranteed mileage (whether I run them or not I get paid a minimum of 2000/wk), AND able to receive incentive pay (cartage, extra stop, detention). I mainly haul for TSC, which gives the added benefit of having most weekends relaxing in Waco (considering moving there since another job where I would be home nights and weekends has at least for the moment been cancelled), and VERY seldom having to worry about finding a place to park even when I may be driving well into the night.

Looks like we'll be back on the road by the 2nd week of April, turns out the meds my husband Chris is taking is new and his blood level will never be where DOT wants it to be but the DOT doctor in Joplin said that was fine because he's heard nothing but great things about the drug. But it also looks like this we will be the last year of driving truck for him, just coming out long enough to save some money for a place and car. Because he's had the one major blood clot he's prone to get more, also the middle part of his right lung is dead (will heal over time) if he were to get even a small clot it could kill him and so the doctor said if it was him I'd be looking for another profession. So drivers if you a heavy and a smoker please make sure you get out of your truck thru out the day and walk even if it's just for 10 mins, it will help. I'd hate for your spouses to go thru what I have in the last month and half. Hope everyone is having a great weekend !! Be safe

Wow, Congratulations guys! I'm so excited for you (and more than a little jealous). I hope to go IC after I get a better feel for con-way &, like you, am able to make the purchase without going into debt. I wish you the best of luck and will be following your adventures closely!
