Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

Phoenix, AZ at the J. Delivered today and taking a reset. What an amazing week. Came back from ht Tueday. 15 on the board and didn't expect to get a load until Wednesday. Lol.....got a load at noon. Ran full 11 to PA. Sat 32, did a local run then picked up in Topton to AZ. 3100 miles, 6 hrs of detention, lots of ne pay, hazmat pay to Phoenix and 5 days layover from time I sat before hometime but forgot to submit. Feels like a "finishers" check! Lol.....

 

Seeking teammate out of Michigan. I posted a wanted ad on here. Plz pm me if you'd be interested. I like running and hate sitting. I need to team....lol.

 

still in shop (day 4), but they have found the cause of the excessive smoke -- the regen process was actually burning a hole into the dpf. They aren't sure if the hole was caused by the faulty regen injector (replaced 2 weeks ago during my last dealership stay) or whether there is a larger underlying issue. It is after 9pm, but international can't tell me whether I will be done by their midnight closing (they have new dpf in stock -- just aren't yet sure whether it'll fry itself again). So despite being up since 5am, I can't get a motel room because there is a small chance I'll be in the truck.

But at least it sounds like this dealership might actually fix the complete problem so I hopefully won't have the hassle of moving/settling into another truck.

 

Saw my son's backetball game Saturday, delivered in Miami, sunday, hilited for Thursday, but they sent me home monday. Get a jump on the taxes, and honeydo stuff this week, then next week fish and golf etc...ahhhhh. Only home 3 days since jan 4th, so this break will be enjoyed.

 

Out of the shop and back on the board -- hoping to make up for lost time. The hole in the dpf was an impressive softball-sized opening. The current theory is that the leaking regen injector (doser?) initiated the opening and it grew even after the injector was replaced. Not 100% sold on that, but I can say there was 0 smoke in the 15 miles I drove to transflo my last load info...

I met another Con-way driver in the shop's lounge and he taught me the coolest trick for Prostar pre-tripping: Hold down the cargo light for 10 seconds and the lights will cycle through lows/highs/turn/brakes. Very neat!

Sure would be nice if someone at HQ showed you that when you got your truck, wouldn't it? Never knew you could do that until the inspection guy at our (Knight's) Chicago terminal showed me. It does come in handy tho.

Still sitting in phoenix waiting on a relay. Amazing how everythjng great seems to be followed by crap. Lol, I was so happy at the start of the week. Last week was amazing. Now its Wednesday and I have exactly 0 miles and am waiting on a relay that was pushed back.....At least I found a team mate who is in Joplin waiting for me. Hopefully we will bounce right out when I get there and just keep moving.
