"did 678 mi yesterday in 11 hrs including ATL 5pm rush hour.." Nice. I did a 679 once, long day and Interstates all the way, no Atlanta tie up but some in Des Moines. I'm going to get 680 some day, but I think that's about it in a 64mph T660. Made a little money that day, didn't we?

I havent done that run, but I'd try delivering early. UPS, Fed Ex, & Con-Way Freight all almost always welcome early drops (though occassionally there won't be an empty)

    Wildblackyonder Thanks this.

The GP plant. Thankfully, I'm #1 on the "Coastal" board instead of 40-something on the Joplin board... Dozing in the sleeper until 8 hours have elapsed before PCing to the pilot. Probably won't get a load until Monday anyway, but I like having hours available to drive at any given moment (when possible).

edit: assigned new load picking up at GP tomorrow - 4 hours shy of a reset. Then I have 52 hours until my fixed appointment 24 hours away (6 hours shy of reset). At least I have decent hours for running recap, but I'd much prefer a fresh 70 & the flexibility to drive 52-55 for better mpg...

on hometime/tulsa, back tomorrow. Found out a little trick on the KW 660. Set cruise at 65, then turn on the Jake, too. Jake will kick in on hills at 72-3 mph, and hold you back. Must keep your foot off da gas tho when doing this, or Jake won't react.(and you WILL hit 74+ quickly)) One only wants to do this on 75 mph Hy's, of course.

Found it in the KW manual.
