Cancelled my highlight -- needed to be home on day 8, and they assigned me a multi-stop load still making deliveries a state away on day 9. Called and told them I need July 1 off, but they said "sorry we can't do that. YOu have to request hometime 8 days in advance." 'But it has taken you 10+ days both times I've needed to be home on a specific day,' I say. "We're sorry, that's the best we can do."

No Con-Way, it is not the best you can do. You can do better. You must do better. It is absurd to require a driver to stay out 2 months and so he can accrue and request 1 week of hometime just to have a shot of making a 1-day appointment 14 days in advance. And even then, he could miss the appointment if you got him home "early." Or he could be in the middle of a 4-day long load an unable to highlight on the requisite day. Stupid policy!!

Home after an 8 week trip...needed the break. A little seafood, some Heat Basketball, golf, fishing, a nip of the smooth refresher....

Someone once told me golf is for those that can't fish...In actuality, golf is for those that can catch their limit and still have 4 or 5 hours of daylight left to kill!

    Be safe you all.
